  • A packet of Ramen noodles is about 25 cents, and is one of the most unhealthy things you can eat. I know families that have to live off bulk packs of the stuff because it is the most affordable food they can buy.

  • Backcountry164 - She shouldn't have to do that. The point remains that she shouldn't have to do ANYTHING with her empty bottles. You shouldn't have to take a single step out of your way when the TSA makes up rules and tries to force them on you.

  • Jeff-1857773 - A law prohibiting texting while driving would have stopped their daughter from texting just as drunk driving laws stop people from driving drunk. Many irresponsible people are still going to drive drunk, but when they get caught, they get in serious legal trouble.

  • GrouchyDude - That's a point everyone seems to be ignoring. Let me say that I agree that this girl was in the wrong, and she was both speeding AND texting, and she should have been doing neither. However, a truck going 15 mph on the interstate is extremely dangerous.

  • I don't see why it's okay to joke about rape when it takes place in prison. Rape is rape, you guys. It wouldn't be funny if you were the one who got put in jail and had to worry.

  • The hands look nothing like a gang sign. Couldn't they simply ask him to replace the hands with something they deemed more appropriate, instead of throwing the design out? Way to hurt a kid who was just trying to do something good.

  • By the way? You're a true fool if you think everyone in prison was a homeless vagrant who never paid taxes or worked a job. Often they're people just like you who suddenly did something dumb and got thrown behind bars.

  • If you think this man was living "a comfortable life" in solitary confinement, you need to get your head examined. This man was tortured (yes, solitary confinement is considered a method of torture), WITHOUT TRIAL. Did you miss that part? This man wasn't even convicted of a crime.

  • Some people may argue, "if you do the crime, you do the time." I say that if this country, with their imprisonment-happy sentencing procedures, wants to throw every other person in prison, then they can pay to have those prisoners cared for.
